How to get to Krakow?
The best way to get to Krakow is to take a plane.
Kraków-Balice International Airport is located 11 km to the
west from the center of Krakow. More information,
especially about connections, can be found at:

If you have a plane to Warsaw you can go from there to Krakow
by train. There is about one train per hour during the day (last train leaves Warsaw at 20.05 p.m.). The journey takes
about three hours. Tickets cost beetwen 80 and 120 PLN
(~ 23-34 euro). More information about trains and connections is

Public transport in Krakow
The buses and trams of the MPK (Urban Transportation Authority) run from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. (there are special night busses that run after hours).
Inside the city the ticket cost is 2,5 PLN (~ 0,7 euro) for a single bus/tram ride (or 2,6 PLN outside the city e.g. from the airport). Luggage and hand-luggage - free of charge. Tickets may be purchased at newspaper stands and from a bus driver (with an extra payment 0,5 PLN). Some buses and trams have ticket machines on board. All types of tickets should be validated in the ticket puncher immediately after boarding a vehicle.

How to get to the Hotel u Pana Cogito?

You can find the location of the hotel in the city centre plan.
There are two possibilities to get from the airport to the Hotel
u Pana Cogito. You can take either a taxi or a bus. The first
takes about 20 minutes and is about 35 PLN (~ 10 euro) and on weekends 50
PLN (~ 14 euro).
We recommend "Barbakan" taxi line, call (+48)(12) 9661.
If you want to go by bus, you should take bus no.
292 (the bus stop "Balice" is located directly at the roundabout, in front of the passenger terminal) and get off at the bus stop "Cracovia" (it takes about 40 minutes), then go to the bus stop next to cinema "Kijów", get on bus no. 103, 114, 144, 164 or 173, and get off at the stop called "Konopnickiej" (it's the 2nd stop). From there it is about 5 minutes walk to the hotel.
When you decide to get to Krakow by train, the best way to get
from the Railway Station "Kraków Główny" (Central Station in
Krakow) to the hotel is to take bus no. 179 from
"Dworzec Główny Zachód (Galeria)" bus stop at the Pawia Street and get off the
bus at the "Konopnickiej" bus stop. It takes about 15 minutes. From there it is about 5 minutes walk to the hotel.
